EastEnders star unrecognisable as he reveals new career after ‘losing his purpose’ when he was axed from soap

AN EASTENDERS star has revealed his new career after being axed from the BBC soap six years ago.
Actor Bleu Landau, 21, who appeared on the popular show as Dennis Rickman Jr between 2015 and 2020, has decided to launch his own clothing brand.

The soap star took to his Instagram to announce the exciting news that his “stylish and classy” brand Playa Cala is dropping its first range later this week.
Bleu told fans: “For a while I felt like I’d lost my purpose. Growing up, I was lucky enough to live a dream.
“From a young age, acting was a huge part of my life. Being on EastEnders gave me experiences, opportunities and memories I’ll forever be grateful for.
“But eventually that chapter came to an end.”
He went on to explain that opportunities became “limited” when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, which left him wanting to “take a risk” and “start something completely new”.
Bleu told his followers: “For the first time I wasn’t really sure what was next.”

He made it clear that he won’t stop acting just because of his new clothing brand.
Bleu continued: “I never want to stop acting. I still have an agent, I’m still pursuing opportunities and I’m working towards landing that next role.
“But acting is an industry where so much is out of your control.
“And while waiting for that next opportunity, I started to feel I was missing something. A sense of direction, a purpose, something I could build towards every single day.
“Then I realised something. You don’t need to give up one dream to chase another.
“And you shouldn’t spend life waiting on opportunities to come to you. Sometimes you’ve got to create your own! So that’s exactly what I’ve decided to do.”
The brand is followed by the likes of Scotty T from Geordie Shore and Reuben Collins from Love Island.
Fans rushed to the comments section to congratulate him on the news.
One said: “Proud of you.”
Another wrote: “Big up.”
“Keep smashing it brother,” a third chimed in.
Back in August Bleu hinted at a comeback to the BBC soap – despite being killed off six years ago.
His character was tied to one of Walford’s most enduring legacies, with the death coming as a huge shock.
Denny – son of Sharon Watts and Dennis Rickman Sr – was tragically killed off in a boat accident for the soap’s 35th anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, actor Bleu hinted at an exciting new project as he penned: “Exciting things coming.. stay tuned”, adding an eyes and love heart emojis.
It comes after Bleu previously hinted at a shock EastEnders return earlier this year.
Since leaving EastEnders, he’s starred in Code 404 and Grace.
