Emmerdale star confirms exit saying ‘that’s a wrap’ on soap – and he’s already off to his next job

AN Emmerdale star has finally confirmed his exit, admitting “that’s a wrap” on the soap – and he’s already off on his next job.
The 24-year-old took to Instagram to share the sad news with fans after joining the show last May.

Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis Barton, is taking a short break from the Dales after landing a stage role.
He will spend the festive season starring as Peter Pan in a panto at the Sunderland Empire.
Brad told fans that he will be returning to the Dales next year and feels “so grateful.”
The soap star shared a snap of him smiling as he hugged his co-star goodbye.

“That’s a wrap at Emmerdale for now! A little time off before heading to pantoland,” said Brad.
“So excited for what’s ahead for Lewis in 2027.
“Feeling very lucky and grateful, as always. See you on your screens soon!”
It was first revealed Brad would be taking time some time out from the show back in May.
The theatre announced Brad would be playing Peter in Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook after teasing fans for weeks.
They wrote on Instagram: “Bradley Riches from Netflix’s Heartstopper, Emmerdale and Big Brother is flying into Sunderland this Christmas as our thrill-seeking hero, Peter Pan!”
Brad’s character Lewis relocated to the Dales to hunt down his half-brother Ross.
Since then he’s settled into his new job at the village cafe and has been romancing Vinny Dingle.
Brad skyrocketed to fame in 2023 when he joined the cast of Netflix’s teen drama Heartstopper, starring as James McEwan.
He also competed on the March 2024 series of Celebrity Big Brother alongside the likes of David Potts, Louis Walsh, Ekin-Su and Coronation Street’s Colson Smith.
