Kev brings Nicola closer to Jimmy in Emmerdale as she enjoys his snoring
Kev supported Nicola once more

Aw, Emmerdale’s Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) is quite sweet when he wants to be, isn’t he?
As unhinged as he is, Kev has a big heart. When he returned to the village earlier this year, he made it clear there was only room in his heart for son Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches).
Now though, a little bit of space is being cleared for Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).
Following Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) death, Kev has been on hand to support Nicola. From helping her at the café, to comforting her whenever she’s sad, Kev now cares a great deal about the woman who was once his enemy.
In today’s episode, Nicola became overwhelmed while working in the café, which resulted in her throwing everyone out and locking herself inside.

When Kev discovered what was going on, he knocked on the door and encouraged Nicola to let him in. Nicola burst into tears and fell into Kev’s arms, deeply missing Jimmy and struggling to cope on her own.
At the Anderson household, Kev learnt that Nicola was struggling to sleep because of how quiet her home is at night. Nicola revealed that Jimmy used to snore all the time and, while it annoyed her at first, she eventually got used to it.
As irritating as the snoring was, Nicola missed hearing it.
Kev suggested that Nicola spent the night in his bed, pointing out that a change of scenery might actually help her brain.
Touched by how kind Kev was being, Nicola headed upstairs, but appeared a while later to tell Kev that she couldn’t switch her mind off.

When Nicola entered the living room, she found Kev on the sofa snoring. She smiled, and then laid on the floor beside him.
For two people who might seem like an unlikely match on paper, there’s something rather lovely about Nicola and Kev’s growing connection. They seem increasingly comfortable in each other’s company, and there’s a natural ease between them that’s hard to ignore.
If Nicola is happy lying on the floor beside Kev while he snores away, perhaps there’s more to this pairing than either of them expected…
