EastEnders makes last-minute script change after Michelle Collins’s real-life drama
There's more drama for Cindy.

EastEnders made a last-minute change in its latest episode following Michelle Collins’s recent hospital dash. The Cindy Beale actor had been using crutches after an accident left her with a “bashed knee” and “cuts and bruises”.
Michelle shared a post on Instagram saying that she had fallen while trying to stop her dog from running out of the door during a visit to some friends in Norfolk.
During the latest episode of the BBC soap, Cindy could be seen walking on crutches after “taking a tumble”, which she explained to Max Branning when returning home.

The episode ended with Cindy accepting Max’s proposal after initially turning him down when he suddenly got down on one knee on “the night that changed everything”.
What she doesn’t know, however, is that Max and Priya Nandra-Hart drunkenly slept together after leaving Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall’s wedding reception, both scorned by their respective partners.
Michelle detailed what had happened to her in an Instagram post in early April, sharing a carousel of images from The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
“Fell over trying to stop Peggy bolting out the door while staying with friends in Norfolk, bashed my knee, cuts and bruises,” she began.
“Staff were great, #efficient #kind despite apparently very low on hospital league table I would never have known from the service I got.
“Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this not great for morale as one of the lovely nurses said. Also went to my local hospital @Finchleymemorialhospital who were great too! So lucky to have them so near me.
“Happy Easter 🐣 xx Sitting down scenes this week! @bbceastenders.”
In a follow-up post, she praised the scriptwriters of the BBC soap for their ability to work her injury into her scenes”.
Posting a selfie to her page, she wrote in the caption: “#thankyou for all your #wellwishes I am now fine and walking around, everyone at @bbceastenders #ads #makeup #writers has been so kind and considerate I’m lucky to have a job where they can quickly work in the script that Cindy is suddenly on crutches!
“Magic! Love my job ❤️ Sometimes😂 Love my @goodlookersuk and @ambraclinic . “
