Helen Flanagan reveals she’s ‘job-hunting’ after selling family home and being turned down for Coronation Street return

HELEN Flanagan has revealed she’s “job hunting” after selling her family home and being turned down for a return to the cobbles.
The 35-year-old, who shot to fame after appearing on ITV‘s Coronation Street, is on the hunt for a new acting role.

She played the role of Rosie Webster on the famous soap for nearly two decades and after a recent stint back in front of the camera, Helen is keen to keep the momentum going.
“I was in theatre for five months and I’ve had a bit of downtime since then, but right now I’m looking for my next job,” said Helen speaking to the Daily Star in collaboration with Paddy Power.
“I really want to focus on acting. I did an amazing play for a couple of months and absolutely loved it, so I’d really like to continue building on that side of my career.”
Helen admitted Corrie bosses haven’t come calling for her to reprise her role despite her living a stone’s throw away from the set.

But despite wanting to return, Helen revealed “they just have not asked me”.
Despite the disappointment, Helen has been eyeing up a gig on another famous soap.
The mum-of-three confessed she has her sights set on BBC‘s Waterloo Road.
She said: “I think I’d be good in Waterloo Road. I’d probably play either a mum or a teacher. I think that would suit me well.”
Helen joined the cast of Coronation Street at age nine back in 2000.
One of Helen’s character Rosie’s most memorable storylines saw her become involved with her teacher John Stape.
Rosie was around 16 or 17 when she developed an obsession with him, blackmailing him and falsely implying they were having an affair.
Helen said: “I honestly loved big storylines, the juicier the better.”
The telly star has recently moved out of her six-bedroom family home, which she and her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair shared.
She lived in the home alone with their three children after their split in 2022.
Scott, 37, sold the house earlier this year, forcing Helen to move to a smaller home with the children
The home, which was owed solely by Scott, sold for £500,000 under the asking price.
