As Kevin and Carl Webster (Michael Le Vell and Jonathan Howard) warn Idris of their wrath, has he destroyed his reputation in Weatherfield already?

Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) attempts to finally vanquish her eternal nemesis, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) by solidifying her relationship with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), she makes an enormous move, but how will Steve react?

That’s not all for poor Cassie, though, as she’s faced with a demon from her past, when Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) mischievous children track down his dad, seeking to reunite them. As daddy dearest rocks up on the street, how will Tyrone – and Cassie – handle his sudden arrival?

As Kevin steps in as Abi’s pillar of support, Carl rushes in, dead certain that he knows what’s behind Alfie’s sudden turn: the wall beside his bed is caked in mould.

As Idris appears, pleading ignorance of the state of the flat, Abi and Kevin take turns tearing strips off of him, before Abi heads to find a doctor with the new information.

Kevin swears to Idris that, should Jack not recover, Idris will also struggle to breathe.

As Steve and Tim remind us why they’re Soapland’s favourite besties, Cassie storms into the cab office, just as Tracy gets into Tim’s cab. While Tim mutes his microphone, Steve doesn’t.

Uh-oh.

As Cassie professes her love for Steve while giving Tracy a slagging, she eventually drops to one knee and asks him the all important question: ‘marry me’.

Friday, July 10

Hope and Ruby (Isabella Flanagan and Billie Naylor) finally reveal their crafty scheme to reunite Tyrone with his dad.

Their parents can hardly believe their ears, and when they reveal that they’ve located his dad, Cassie is horrified.

With little time to digest the information, Hope admits that they’ve pretended to be him and invited his dad to meet him, and at that precise moment, Ross walks in.
