Humiliated Gabby rejected yet again in Emmerdale as she makes a move on another local

Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is desperate for love and affection which means she is wide open to a lot of hurt and pain in Emmerdale.

Ross Barton (Michael Parr) really did a number on her when he gave her the come on only to cruelly reject her while she was in her sex clothes.

Since then, she has been quietly experiencing a shift that, so far, no one has noticed. It started with her rejecting pastries and cocktails in favour of ice water and a protein bar, and it’s moved on to a complete redesign of the Hide’s menu to include all healthy produce.

Innocuous to the untrained eye, it’s a sign that all is not well in the world of Gabby, and this foray into the health food industry is a nod to her desperately trying to retain some control over a life she perceives to be spiralling into an abyss. She’s on a very dark path as the rejection has cut her deep.

What made it worse was that Ross rejected her – for Laurel. That’s an ego bruiser right there.

The incident with Ross made her believe she’s unlovable, so when another man shows her affection, she starts to think maybe she is worthy of love after all.

She’s upset about something and Billy (Jay Kontzle) finds her. He goes to comfort her, and here is where the mistake happens.

Gabby feels sparks and goes in for a kiss. Billy instantly pulls back, and a mortified Gabby rushes off having completely misread the situation. Another spiral is afoot.

Actress Rosie Bentham hinted to Metro about how dark this is going to get.

‘[Gabby] is looking for something else to put her focus in and what can be seen as quite a healthy thing, investing in your health and everything, at what point does that become an obsession and unhealthy?’ Rosie told us.

‘So, it’s where that’s going to go, which I actually don’t know yet, but it will be exciting to see.’ With a storyline set to play out over the next year, how bad are things set to get for the entrepreneur?
