The chaos in Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) life shows no sign of letting up next week in Emmerdale.
Consumed with thoughts of vengeance against his supposed friend, Ross Barton (Michael Parr), Mack plots to get Ross alone and vulnerable before striking, while he continues to worry about Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) mental wellbeing. Can Mack continue spinning all of these plates, or are a few bound to fall and smash?
Serena Sugden’s (Casey Al-Shaqsy) presence continues to unnerve Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), and after Robert is left injured, Aaron and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) set out to dig into the newcomers past, but what exactly will the find?
Despite their best efforts to delay the kids discovering their new relationship, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) are busted by Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison), leaving Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) to explain the truth. While Clemmie is cool with the revelation, can the same be said for Dawn?
Elsewhere, Gabby continues to struggle with food, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is horrified by a visit from the police and Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) makes a move that is sure to shake the café – and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) – to their foundations.
As usual, this weeks visits to the Dales have been all muddled up by the football, so here’s your handy guide to when – and what – is happening next week in everyone’s favourite village!
Monday, July 13

Ross is unnerved when Mack recruits him to help with a job at the farm, and despite Mack’s reassurance that things are fine, at the job, it becomes clear that they’re anything but as the tension begins to sizzle. As things explode, they begin trading blows atop the barn’s mezzanine and soon, Ross is pushed over the edge.
As Serena attempts to keep her research a secret, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) warns Robert that she must never learn the truth about John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), while Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), just before leaving, is finally struck with a memory: he remembers where he knows Serena from.
Meanwhile, Gabby is narked when Dawn asks her and Billy to keep their relationship a secret from the kids for now and Nicola feels guilty when Ross confirms their scheme against Kev has worked.
Wednesday, July 15 – double episode

Clemmie is shocked when she enters the Hide and catches Gabby and Billy kissing. Heading home to question Dawn, it’s clear that Dawn is struggling with the situation much more than Clemmie, who accepts the new relationship.
Chas is incandescent to learn that Mack knows the truth about Leyla, and and after Mack finally decides to leave, she and Charity scheme to ensure Sarah never finds out. Charity almost comes clean about her rape, but she’s interrupted by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and a tipsy and despairing Mack.
Elsewhere, Gabby’s anxiety around food means she refuses to allow Thomas Tate (Bertie Brotherton) to attend a friends birthday party after seeing the menu, Aaron is still deeply distrustful of Serena, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) asks Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) to handle a dodgy delivery alongside Billy and Nicola is floored when Lewis reveals that he’s hired Kev.
Thursday, July 16

Robert finds himself knocked out by a runaway farm trailer, and Aaron’s eye is on Serena, the only other person at the scene, as the culprit. Aaron later tells Robert his theory about Serena, and enlists Chas to help him watch her.
Vanessa is chilled when DS Reid (Angela Lonsdale) arrives in the village with some questions for her about Dr Todd (Caroline Harker). Left shaken to the core, Vanessa begins asking questions.
Also, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) skives off work and uses his day off to play golf with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
Friday, July 17

After Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), tells Mack that he’s looking at jobs abroad and considering a fresh start away from the village, his attention turns to Charity. Worried about her welfare, he calls on Vanessa to see if she has any idea where she is.
Charity, meanwhile, is taking tentative steps toward survival, and attends a rape victim support group.
Concurrently, Chas and Aaron are knocked off their feet by their discovery, and Lewis is second-guessing his decision to employ Kev.
