Emmerdale star making surprise return to soap after NINE years away for huge new murder storyline

AN EMMERDALE star is making a surprise return to the soap after NINE years away.

The Sun can reveal that actor Dana Haqjoo, 57, will make his big comeback to the Dales for a huge new murder storyline.

We can also reveal that the TV star has already filmed his scenes for the soap and will play a character called DS Byrne.

Dana is set to appear in multiple episodes in a major murder storyline on the soap as rapist Dr Todd is killed off.

Viewers watched last night as Sarah Sugden pushed and killed the evil doctor to her death.

She made the shock move after overhearing her confessing to raping Charity Dingle.

Actor Dana previously appeared on Emmerdale between 2014 until 2017 as both a police officer and doctor.

This isn’t the only soap, the British-Iranian actor has starred in.

Over the years he has appeared on Coronation Street in multiple roles.

Away from soapland, the star also appeared in the highly-acclaimed Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

Other roles include The Diplomat, and also Michael Fassbender’s spy drama The Agency.
