Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan addresses if she will return as Daisy

Daisy Midgeley left Coronation Street in 2025

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan is best known to fans of the ITV soap for playing the role of Daisy Midgeley, and now she has addressed the possibility of a return.

Daisy was involved in some major storylines during her time on the cobbles. Most notably, she found herself the target of stalker Justin Rutherford, who became obsessed with her after meeting her in the hospital waiting room.

Tragically, Justin’s stalking led to a terrifying acid attack, which saw Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) defend Daisy and suffer serious burns as a result.

In 2025, Daisy left Weatherfield, having stolen a large sum of money from step-mother Jenny Connor.

After leaving Coronation Street, actress Charlotte appeared in radio soap The Archers as newcomer Amber, but left the role after a short time due to scheduling conflicts, having been cast in BBC period drama series The Hairdresser Mysteries and unable to do both.

Now, The Hairdresser Mysteries has hit our screens, with Charlotte starring as Clary Coombs, alongside TV stalwarts Sally Phillips and Sunetra Sarker as Lily Petal and Wincey Evans respectively.

Charlotte Jordan is now starring alongside Sally Phillips in The Hairdresser Mysteries

Described as a ‘cosy crime drama’ and set in the 1970s, The Hairdresser Mysteries sees Lily Petal swap city life for a small village salon, where, according to the IMDB synopsis, ‘as clients share secrets during appointments, her intuitive skills help solve local mysteries’.

Amid her new project, Charlotte has revealed whether or not she plans to reprise her role as Daisy in the future, joking that so far, ‘nobody’s asked’.

‘For now I’m happy to just keep exploring..’ She told Radio Times.

‘I mean, I only left a year ago, it’s very early days, so now I’m happy to keep giving it a good go.’

Clary Coombs is a totally different role to Daisy

Speaking to the publication about The Hairdresser Mysteries, Charlotte explained that Clary was a very different role to Daisy, but working on Coronation Street was a ‘fantastic training ground’ for filming the BBC drama.

‘Speed-wise, it wasn’t an adjustment… Corrie was a fantastic training ground in that sense, for this particular job, but I did really like playing a character that couldn’t be more different from who I played…

‘I was hoping for that. I wanted to play someone next who was the polar opposite, so I’m grateful for that.

‘It wasn’t super different technically, it was all sort of the same ingredients, but it was a very different world, and it’s a very different tone… It’s a different genre, different vibes. So that was great.’
