Emmerdale ‘confirms’ who will end Dr Todd ahead of murder

Vanessa Woodfield fell for Dr Todd’s charm

Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is struggling to get her head around the truth about Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) in Emmerdale.

When Dr Todd lived in the village, she was in a relationship with Vanessa. Because the local vet completely fell for Caitlin’s charm, she believed her comments about Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) being obsessed with her.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) attempted to warn Vanessa off Caitlin when she started getting blackmailed by the surgeon. Vanessa thought that Charity was just being a jealous ex, and didn’t for once think that she was saying all of this because her new girlfriend was incredibly dangerous.

Vanessa worked out that Charity’s change in behaviour was down to Dr Todd shortly after she was questioned by DS Reid (Angela Lonsdale). She then learnt about the ordeal Caitlin put Charity through, and has since been trying to process the fact that she was in a relationship with a monster.

Earlier this week, Vanessa, Charity and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) learnt that the CPS were dropping the case against Caitlin. Mack and Vanessa were adamant that they could find proof that Dr Todd has more victims, and their plan led Vanessa to the hospital.

After a chat with HR rep Carol, Vanessa met with a woman called Helen. Once Charity arrived, the two women discovered that Helen was also sexually assaulted by Dr Todd.

Charity hoped that Helen would report her attack to the police to increase the chance of Caitlin getting convicted, but she decided against it. As much as it broke Charity’s heart, she understood that Helen didn’t want to dig up an event in her past after working so hard to move forward.

Charity and Vanessa met Helen earlier this week, another of Dr Todd’s victims

The conversation she had with Helen inspired Charity a lot. As she tried to implement new steps to move forward, Charity suggested that Mackenzie thinks about how he can help himself with regards to Ross Barton (Michael Parr).

Wanting to help fix the relationship with his wife, Mack met with Ross and spoke about how he isn’t sure if he loves his wife more than he hates what she did.

Ross pointed out that Mackenzie shouldn’t let a stupid mistake between him and Charity stop his world from spinning. It would’ve pained him to admit it, but Mack knew that Ross was making a good point.

In the pub, Mack told Charity about his chat with Ross, and made it clear that he only did it for their relationship.

Determined to move forward after an absolutely horrific time, Charity and Mack appear to be back on the same page. Unfortunately, Vanessa isn’t quite there.

Doctor Todd will be killed by someone in the near future

Still angry over everything Caitlin’s done, Vanessa ranted to Mack about how the woman is better off in prison.

Vanessa then said that if Todd isn’t going to get sentenced for her crimes, she ‘at least needs to pay in some other way’.

This is a very risky thing for Vanessa to say, because we know someone will murder Dr Todd in the near future.

Has this comment more or less confirmed that she will become a killer?
