EastEnders: 5 questions we need answered as Max faces huge decision
The Walford chaos shows no signs of calming down.

Vicki and Ross Marshall’s wedding day was supposed to be a celebration, but EastEnders turned it into one of the soap’s most dramatic weeks. Wednesday’s (3 June) episode piled on even more uncertainty as Jordan Fox remained in hospital, Denise Fox continued hiding a devastating secret and Max Branning found himself battling temptation just hours after a failed proposal.
Elsewhere, the fallout from Kat and Alfie Moon’s catering disaster continued to spread across the Square, while George Knight was forced to confront fresh doubts about his father Eddie.
Jordan’s condition remains a major concern for the Fox-Branning family, while Denise is under increasing pressure. But with BBC bosses promising a week that’s set to change everything, there are still plenty of unanswered questions hanging over Albert Square.

Will Denise tell her family about her cancer?
Denise is carrying one of the biggest secrets in Walford right now. After recently being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, she has been urged by her doctor to begin treatment as soon as possible. However, Jordan’s accident has completely shifted her priorities.
This Wednesday, Denise stayed by Chelsea’s side at the hospital alongside Kim, Yolande and Howie as they waited for updates on Jordan’s condition. But as her concern for Jordan grew, so too did questions about Denise’s increasingly unusual behaviour.
Kim pressed her sister about her absence from Vicki and Ross’ wedding and her recent distance from the family. With Yolande stepping in to cover for her, Denise managed to avoid revealing the truth once again.
Denise has already made it clear that she intends to put Chelsea and Jordan first, even it if means delaying treatment. While Yolande currently remains her only confidante, upcoming scenes suggest her husband Jack will soon become a crucial source of support.

Will Jordan be able to walk again?
Jordan’s future continues to remain uncertain following his devastating hit-and-run. After being struck by Ian Beale’s car, Jordan was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery for a serious spinal injury.
Tuesday’s (2 June) episode revealed doctors needed to stabilise his spine, while Wednesday finally brought some positive news when Chelsea learned the operation had been successful. But relief quickly gave way to fresh uncertainty.
Jordan’s doctor stressed that it was still too early to know the full extent of Jordan’s injuries or how his recovery will progress. For now, his family faces an anxious wait as they hope for further signs of improvement.

Will Vicki find out the truth about Alfie’s prawns?
Harvey Monroe was the first wedding guest to suffer suspicious symptoms after eating Kat and Alfie’s buffet. But Wednesday’s episode suggested he may not be the last. Eve soon began experiencing problems of her own after tucking into Alfie’s prawn blinis, prompting a panicked Alfie to swoop in and remove her plate before she could eat any more.
Believing they had finally contained the situation, Kat and Alfie tried to relax. Unfortunately, Vicki then admitted she was feeling unwell herself, before revealing Ross had spent much of the reception struggling in the bathroom.
With more guests beginning to show symptoms, it feels increasingly unlikely that Kat and Alfie will be able to keep the truth hidden for much longer. But could they get into trouble with Vicki? And how many guests have fallen ill?

What will be George’s next step?
George found himself facing another painful dilemma involving his racist father Eddie. Ever since Eddie returned to Albert Square following his release from prison on compassionate grounds, George has wrestled with conflicting emotions.
While he hoped Eddie might have changed, recent events have cast serious doubts on that possibility. Gina’s concerns about comments Eddie made to Harry appeared to finally convince George that his father’s attitudes remain deeply troubling.
By the end of this Wednesday’s episode, George appeared ready to wash his hands of Eddie altogether and send him back where he came from – but there was a complication. Eddie revealed details of his arrangement with Nicola, exposing a secret deal that allowed him to remain in Walford. And the revelation stopped George in his tracks.

Will Max cheat on Cindy with Priya?
If Max Branning has proven anything over the years, it’s that stability rarely lasts long around him. Wednesday’s episode began with Max awaiting Cindy’s response after proposing with Howie’s stolen engagement ring.
Instead of getting the answer he wanted, he was left disappointed when Cindy turned him down. Later, a heartbroken Priya sought comfort after her split from Ravi and eventually found herself alone with Max.
What began as a conversation became noticeably flirtatious as the pair headed back to his place. The situation was made even messier by confusion over Max and Cindy’s relationship status. Max appeared convinced things were finished between them, while Cindy seemed to believe they were still an item.
As the episode ended, Max was clearly tempted by Priya’s advances. But if he gives in, it could spark another explosive love triangle with devastating repercussions. Flashforward scenes have already confirmed Max has another wedding in his future.
But with Priya in the picture, she could become far more significant in Max’s story than anyone expected as she could be the mystery pregnant woman Max was seen sharing a bed with in a previous flashforward scene.
