EastEnders to air Pride episode – with huge Strictly star cameo

Walford's ready to celebrate.

EastEnders is set to receive a very special visit in upcoming weeks as La Voix arrives in Walford. According to The Sun, the RuPaul’s Drag Race star will be making a cameo on the BBC soap to celebrate Pride month.

The special episode will see the drag artist performing in The Queen Vic, something she has reportedly dreamt of doing for a long time. Her scenes are expected to air in early July, when London celebrates Pride.

This isn’t the first time that La Voix has appeared on a BBC show. After being a runner-up in the sixth season of Drag Race UK in 2024, the star took to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom with professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec.

The popular pair competed until the eighth week of the competition, but sadly had to withdraw after the drag artist sustained an injury. This meant they missed out on performing at the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, a major milestone in the series.

La Voix isn’t the only drag artist that has graced Albert Square with their presence. Back in 2022, Matthew James Morrison took on the role of Felix Baker, and also featured as his alter ego Tara Misu, the soap’s first ever drag performer.

While it remains to be seen how La Voix’s rumoured appearance on the soap pans out, there is plenty of drama going on in East London at the moment, with Oscar Branning being involved in a love triangle with twins!

He has the affections of both Jasmine Fisher and Josh Goodwin, with his secret romance with the latter being discovered by Kat Moon last week. Feeling guilty, Josh confessed everything, and upset his twin sister.

With tensions at an all-time high, Oscar in particular could do with some quieter times, but he won’t get his wish as a concerning new development arises in Walford during next week’s scenes.
