Coronation Street stars share behind-the-scenes snaps from tense court scenes
Filming is well underway for the life-changing scenes.
The cast of Coronation Street have taken fans behind the scenes ahead of a tense week in the ITV soap. Following her arrest and charge over Theo Silverton’s murder, Sarah Platt is awaiting her day in court.
Sarah admitted to Kit Green that she had killed Theo, hitting him over the head with a metal pipe during a fiery confrontation, which caused him to fall from the rooftop scaffolding.
In her time of need, she called Gary Windass to help her cover up the crime, but her efforts were for naught when she was arrested surrounded by her loved ones.
With filming for the court scenes well underway, the Platt family look far from stressed out as the actors gave viewers a glimpse into the backstage action.
David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd shared several snaps on his Instagram page “platting about” with Sarah actor Tina O’Brien, Bethany Platt star Lucy Fallon, and Shona Platt actor Julia Goulding.
The four stars can be seen sat around a table together and smiling, while in another selfie, Jack can be seen pulling a scrunched-up expression while Julia smiles and Lucy throws her hands up in a peace sign.
He also shared a throwback photo alongside his onscreen mother Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and onscreen grandmother Audrey Platt, portrayed by Sue Nicholls.
On her Instagram Stories, Lucy posed alongside Jack, Julia, and Todd Grimshaw star Gareth Pierce in a black and white photo, which she captioned “busy week for us chicks”.
She also shared a picture covered in snacks, writing “I provide the goods”, presumably sharing the treats with her cast members.
The cast have been seen filming the trial at Bolton Crown Court, with Tina snapped wearing a pink two-piece suit and talking into a mobile phone while on set.
It will be some time before these trial scenes air, however, with Sarah currently locked up and struggling with life in prison.
She has been befriended by fellow inmate Kacey who has promised to protect her, but could this worsen her problems?
