Adam Thomas’s friends fear new look is ‘cry for help’ after £55,000 loss

Former Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star, Adam Thomas has his friends incredibly worried after unveiling a new look amid facing difficulties with his new sauce brand.

Adam previously debuted his new, much shorter hair-do in an Instagram video, showing him drenched in sweat following a clearly intense gym workout, reportedly as part of a re-brand following his controversial appearance in I’m A Celebrity….

Despite being crowned champion, Adam was deeply embroiled in some particularly ugly moments on the show, including a fierce clash and a ‘bullying’ scandal.

Following incidents with David Haye and Jimmy Bullard and an entirely derailed finale, Adam was quoted as saying: ‘I’m just tired, I want it all to go away and just be forgotten about.

‘The sad truth is that everyone will go on with their lives but for me, this will be in for me the rest of my life’ upon the conclusion of the show.

After his appearance, an source told The Sun: ‘Adam reached the lowest of lows over what happened in the jungle.

‘He’s a long way away from ever wanting to put himself back into the reality TV circus again, but he’s got his confidence back and he’s looking forward to future projects.

‘Instead, he’s excited and passionate about focusing on his business.

‘It’s like he’s got a new lease of life since reflecting on all the drama from I’m A Celebrity and knows how he wants to spend his time moving forward.’

Unfortunately, though, the business venture hasn’t quite been the success that Adam had anticipated, with his close friends reportedly worried that his focus on altering his appearance is a ‘cry for help’ following the financial struggles his sauce brand ‘Oh My Glaze’ is facing.

Adam had previously shared his excitement to learn that Oh My Glaze, which was co-founded by the actor, was being stocked in Asda stores following a major brand relaunch and retail expansion plans.

Taking to Facebook and sharing a video of him discovering and purchasing a bottle of the sauce from Asda, he captioned the clip: ‘Omg my new product is in Asda!

‘We built Oh My Glaze, because we wanted healthier sauces without all the ultra-processed rubbish… and now it’s officially landed in Asda. Madness!!!!

‘Honestly just feeling super grateful. For every person that’s supported us, shared a post, bought a bottle or believed in us before any of this looked real!

The financials tell a different story, though, as the latest figures for Oh My Glaze The Sauce Ltd, which have been published at Companies House, show that the company is £21,055 in debt, with cash reserves of just £290 for 2025.

A source told the Sun: ‘Adam was really hoping to get Oh My Glaze off the ground running again. He has been working on the idea for over a decade and he always wanted a side hustle as well as his acting.

‘He has seen others achieve similar things and really believed he could too. But it’s been incredibly difficult. And after a horrendous time in the jungle, he really feels like he can’t catch a break.’

Adam previously ventured into the food industry with The Spinn, a restaurant that closed amid enormous tax bills, that saw creditors lose money:

‘No dividend has been paid to any class of creditor in the liquidation. Due to low levels of realisations, none was anticipated at the outset’ read the financial report.

Speaking on the closure, Adam said: ‘Unfortunately we have decided to close The Spinn.

‘We did what we had to do with The Spinn and we learnt so much building our first venture and more importantly we had an absolute blast.’
