Coronation Street reveals future of Tim’s dark new death plot with villain Richie
"Richie will make certain demands on Tim that he can't refuse."

Coronation Street newcomer Nathan Sussex has exclusively revealed to Inside Soap that his character, Richie, is set to tighten his grip on Tim after being charged for the murder of his wife.
In recent scenes, Tim reunited with his cousin Richie after coincidentally picking up him as a taxi fare. The two men then reminisced about their childhood at Tim and Sally’s place, where Richie stayed for the night.
But soon, Tim and Richie’s relationship will take a sinister turn, as Richie is thrown behind bars after Tim finds him covered in his wife’s blood. And as star Nathan tells us, Richie will go to great lengths to keep Tim in his orbit…
“He’s trying to get Tim on his side,” explains the actor, who previously starred in Hollyoaks as evil Buster Smith. “He’s been quite forceful with Tim, in that sort of family allegiance thing. I think he’s very keen on making sure Tim complies, but ultimately his concern is with his daughter Lucy because they’re very close.”
Tim and Sally will welcome teenager Lucy into their home while Richie remains in prison, but despite the couple’s gesture of goodwill, Richie still believes that his cousin owes him one.
“He feels Tim is responsible for the mess that he’s in,” Nathan shares. “Richie feels that Tim needs to step up and be there for him. I think he’ll make certain demands on Tim that he can’t refuse.”
Behind the scenes, Nathan is enjoying every moment of his time on the cobbles, and he was particularly delighted to reunite with actor Jacob Roberts (Kit Green), who played his on-screen son, Damon, in Hollyoaks.
“The minute we saw each other, I ran up to him and he’s so tall, he scooped me up!” laughs Nathan. “When I saw that Jacob had got this part a couple of years ago and I found out I was going to be playing Richie, I was so excited to see him because we haven’t seen each other since I left Hollyoaks.
“It was such a lovely reunion because we got on so well as friends,” he adds. “But also as father and son, we had some great scenes together as Buster and Damon.”
