EastEnders soap hunk confirms he appeared in One Direction music video – as soap fans lose their minds

AN EastEnders soap star has sent his fans into a frenzy after he confirmed he did indeed appear in a One Direction music video.
The hunky actor in question made a surprise cameo in the band’s second most-viewed video – it has over 1.2 billion clicks on YouTube.

The 38-year-old, who joined the cast of the BBC show eight months ago, could be seen in the clip getting into a scuffle with Zayn Malik.
During his cameo, Stephen Aaron-Sipple walked angry through an upmarket restaurant, pointing aggressively at the camera before turning to Zayn.
He then could be seen yanking Zayn out of his chair as he gave him a good talking to.
Stephen’s character in the video didn’t stop there as he dumped a glass of water and a plate of spaghetti on his head.

The lyrics in the background said: “Going out tonight, she changes into something red.”
“Her mother doesn’t like that kind of dress, reminds her of the missing piece of innocence she lost.
“Only getting older baby, and I’ve been thinking about it lately.”
Taking to his Instagram, Stephen wrote: “Few people have asked…
“Yeah this is me…
“It was an amazing thing to be a part of, and Zayn was a lovely bloke.”
One Direction’s Night Changes was released as a single in November 14 2014 with the music video being filmed a month prior.
Stephen began appearing on EastEnders back in January 2026 as Mark Fowler Jr.
He took over the role from Ned Porteous and made a dramatic return to Albert Square, bloodied and on the run.
Mark has since formed a romance with Lauren Beale, reconnected with his half-sister Vicki Fowler, helped her navigate being blackmailed and staged a car robbery with Sam Mitchell.
Stephen previously appeared in one EastEnders episode back in 2020 as a delivery driver.
Before joining the show as a series regular, he had roles in Cuckoo, The Outlaws, Silo and The Witcher.
