EASTENDERS star Sophie Khan Levy has confirmed her real life pregnancy – as she filmed her final scenes for the BBC soap.
Sophie, 37, joined the cast in 2023 as Priya Nandra-Hart, who has since become a pivotal part of the show.
She was introduced as the estranged ex-partner of Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and mother of his two children.
The BBC soap took to social media and shared a clip of Sophie wrapping up her last scenes.
Speaking to the camera, Sophie said: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the fans and viewers of the show.
“I’ve been so proud and happy to be part of this family for three years.
I can’t believe it’s already been three years, it doesn’t feel like that long. And it also feels like forever.
“Thank you for having me and let’s see… watch this space. Who knows if Priya will make a return?”
She ended by blowing a kiss and showing off her baby bump, having teased earlier in the clip that “something is coming imminently”.
Sophie has yet to otherwise post about her real-life pregnancy or her partner’s identity.
Taking to social media, some viewers questioned whether the actress’ exit was temporary or permanent.
One person penned: “She’s left for good??”
Another wrote: “Wait is she leaving for good?”
A third shared: “Please say its not for good!! Love her she is fantastic.”
Casting doubt, a fourth remarked: “Nah not buying, this is all deffo fake and she’ll return on Christmas Day or something.”
A fifth commented: “I assumed it was temporary.”
In the storyline, Priya suddenly fled Walford in Tuesday’s episode after being blackmailed by Cindy Beale over the DNA results of her baby.
Cindy discovered her husband Max Branning is the father of Priya’s baby and not Ravi, so demanded she leave Walford or she would expose the secret.
But despite Priya confessing all to Ravi and him begging her to stay, she left anyway – becoming the latest character to depart the Square.
On-screen partner Ravi is also leaving, with The Sun revealing Aaron Thiara is set to depart after four years on the Square.
